What's the difference: Rebellious Luxe vs Freestyle?
This is not a battle of invented couple totals. It is two definitions of freedom at sea. Virgin Voyages sells Rebellious Luxe: an adults-only (18+) product with 20+ eateries in the fare, no buffet, no traditional main dining room, and VoyageFair gratuities shown as their own line. Norwegian Cruise Line sells Freestyle Cruising: flexible dining times, family-friendly energy, kids clubs, and a package stack (Free at Sea) that can fold drinks, specialty meals, Wi-Fi minutes, and shore credits into the booking—while daily service charges still apply.

How do fees, Free at Sea, and gratuities compare?
Virgin Voyages (VoyageFair): Daily service gratuities are not buried inside the voyage fare for current bookings. Expect about $20 per Sailor per night prepaid or about $22 onboard from October 7, 2025. Once that line is covered, no extra tip is expected on drinks, dining, or spa. NCL daily service charges (official FAQ, re-checked September 14, 2026): For bookings made on or after January 1, 2023—$20.00 USD per person per day for Club Balcony Suite and below; $25.00 USD per person per day for The Haven and Suites. Hawaii sailings add the published prepaid-service-charge GET tax. Confirm on the booking; rates can change.
NCL Free at Sea (official Free at Sea page + Dec 2025 comparison flyer, fetched September 14, 2026): For new reservations on or after November 5, 2025, Free at Sea can include Unlimited Open Bar (21+), specialty dining meals by sail length (1 / 2 / 3 / 4 meals for 2–4 / 5–6 / 7–8 / 9+ nights), 150 minutes of high-speed Wi-Fi per guest in the stateroom, and a $50 shore-excursion credit for Guest 1 on eligible tours. Virgin Wi-Fi: Included by VoyageFair fare type—Basic / Classic / Premium. Premium fare = Premium Wi-Fi (2 devices per Sailor). Mega RockStar = Work from Sea (2 devices per Sailor). Do not rename Premium-fare Wi-Fi as Work from Sea. Work from Sea is not in a standard (non-Mega) fare.
NCL Wi-Fi: Free at Sea publishes 150 minutes per guest in the stateroom (1 device at a time). Unlimited streaming Wi-Fi is a Free at Sea Plus / upgrade path—confirm on the booking. Upgraded Voyage Wi-Fi passes are sold separately at NCL's published rates.
