What Is Virgin Voyages Sailing Club? Blue vs Deep Blue (2026)

Short answer: Virgin Voyages Sailing Club is the loyalty program. One eligible full-fare voyage = member. Blue Extras on voyages 3-4 (coffee, 1 laundry bag, cocktail event, dedicated Sailor Services). Deep Blue Extras from voyage 5+ (or Sea-Blazer/Sea-Rover): $100 promotional Bar Tab, Unlimited Premium Wi-Fi where available, priority boarding, enhanced laundry, 2 coffees/day. Perks published through December 31, 2026. Status Match is closed.

How the Sailing Club ladder works

Complete one (1) eligible voyage and you are automatically a Sailing Club member. Members receive members-only offers and perks as Virgin Voyages publishes them (often by email when a limited-time booking offer is live).

After two (2) completed eligible voyages, Blue Extras apply on voyages three and four. After four (4) completed eligible voyages, Deep Blue Extras apply on voyage five and later eligible sailings. Sea-Blazers and Sea-Rovers already have Deep Blue Extras and can book and sail with them on eligible voyages through the end of 2026. Blue Extras and Deep Blue Extras are published for eligible voyages until 31 December 2026. As of 7 October 2025, Base, Essential, and Premium fare bookings are eligible for the program.

Deadline context for Sailors counting voyages before year-end: Sailing Club perks through December 31, 2026.

What counts as an eligible voyage

An eligible voyage is a full-fare sailing. Official exclusions include Casino (Loyalty) Bookings; Free Voyage Fare (Access Key) Giveaways; First Mate Rate Bookings; Interline Rates; reduced cruise fares (employee/family/vendor); Internal ECC; Internal Ship Companion; and other cruises designated by Virgin Voyages. If you have unlocked perks with eligible voyages and then sail an excluded voyage, you do not receive those earned benefits on that voyage.

Blue Extras (per eligible Sailor)

On voyages 3–4, Blue Extras include:

  • 1 specialty coffee per day at bars or restaurants. Not available through Ship Eats. Alcoholic coffee cocktails not included.
  • 1 bag of laundry (express not included; unavailable on the final day).
  • Cocktail event invitation (one per voyage; cabin mate may join).
  • Dedicated Sailing Club Sailor Services support.

Deep Blue Extras (per eligible Sailor on voyage 5+)

Deep Blue Extras include:

  • $100 promotional Bar Tab — a Bar Tab folio credit for that eligible Sailor only. Charges may appear on the folio and be waived before the card is charged. This is not an unlimited drinks package.
  • Unlimited Premium Wifi where available — official Sailing Club terms do not state a device count. Do not confuse this with Mega RockStar Work from Sea (2 devices per Sailor) or Premium-fare Premium Wi-Fi (2 devices per Sailor). Those are separate products.
  • Priority boarding — dedicated embarkation queue; early boarding where available; cabin mate may join if arriving together.
  • Dedicated Sailor Services — pre-voyage phone option; onboard representative at the Sailor Services desk.
  • Cocktail event (same rules as Blue).
  • Laundry: 2 pressed items + 1 specialty-cleaned item + 1 bag (no express; unavailable final day).
  • 2 specialty coffees per day at bars or restaurants (not Ship Eats; alcoholic coffee not included).

Sea-Blazer Bar Tab bonus: $125 bonus on $300 Bar Tab purchases, honored for life (official T&Cs). Sea-Rover: $100 bonus on $300 Bar Tab purchases; T&Cs say it continues to be honored—confirm on your Virgin Voyages account before you buy.

Tips, drinks, and what is already in the fare

Sailing Club does not put gratuities in the voyage fare. Under VoyageFair, expect about $20 prepaid or about $22 onboard per Sailor per night from October 7, 2025. Full tipping context: tips after VoyageFair.

Virgin Voyages has no unlimited drinks package. Essential drinks stay in the fare; premium drinks use Bar Tab. The Deep Blue $100 is promotional Bar Tab credit, not all-you-can-drink.
