Is Virgin Voyages All Inclusive? What’s Included (and Extra) in 2026
Current as of September 13, 2026 · By Cameron DeJong · CamJon Travel
Is Virgin Voyages all inclusive?
No. Virgin Voyages markets Always Included value, not a resort-style all-inclusive where every drink, spa hour, and shore day is prepaid. That is the useful distinction for first-time Sailors. Official pages lead with 20+ eateries, Wi-Fi, group fitness, entertainment, and essential drinks. They do not lead with alcohol, Shore Things, spa, or the October 7, 2025 gratuity split.
CamJon Travel’s read: call it inclusive-value cruising. Dining and the daily essentials are in the fare. A Bar Tab, spa time, and (on new bookings) nightly service gratuities are not. For a companion inventory of hidden costs vs hidden value, see what’s really included on Virgin Voyages.
What is in the voyage fare?
Use this table as the lift. Cells are Yes or No. Confirm the fare you actually book; Wi-Fi and dining-reservation windows change with VoyageFair type, not with the restaurant list.
| Item | In the fare? | Note |
|---|---|---|
| All 20+ eateries (no specialty cover) | Yes | Made to order; no main-dining cover charge |
| Essential drinks (water, soda, tea, drip coffee, non-pressed juice) | Yes | Official Virgin Voyages essential-drinks list |
| Alcohol, specialty coffee, pressed juice | No | Bar Tab is prepaid credit, not an unlimited package |
| Group fitness + gym | Yes | Classes and facilities |
| Entertainment / shows | Yes | Happenings and productions |
| Wi-Fi | Yes, by fare | Basic / Classic / Premium Wi-Fi. Premium fare = Premium Wi-Fi, two devices per Sailor. Mega RockStar = Work from Sea, up to two devices per cabin. Do not call Premium-fare Wi-Fi Work from Sea. |
| Daily service gratuities (from Oct 7, 2025) | No | About $20 per Sailor per night prepaid, or about $22 onboard |
| Extra tip on drinks, dining, spa | No | Once the daily gratuity is covered |
| Shore Things | No | Booked extra |
| Spa / Thermal Suite | No | Some suites may include Thermal access |
| Beach Club at Bimini | Yes on sailings that call at Beach Club at Bimini | Often Miami Caribbean itineraries; confirm the sailing |
| Port porter (Terminal V and similar) | Not VV crew | $1 to $2 per bag is standard port-side practice |
Is specialty dining included on Virgin Voyages?
Yes. That is the real value versus most mainstream lines. Every fare includes all 20+ eateries. Korean BBQ at Gunbae, upscale Mexican at Pink Agave, Italian at Extra Virgin, and New American at Razzle Dazzle are not cover-charge restaurants. Meals are made to order. There is no assigned seating and no set dining time.
When you can reserve still depends on fare type: Base and Lock It In at 15 days, Essential at 45, Premium at 60, RockStar and Mega RockStar at 120. The restaurant list does not change. The window does. Full matrix: Virgin Voyages fare types.
Are drinks included on Virgin Voyages?
Essential drinks are: still and sparkling water, soda, tea, drip coffee, and non-pressed juice. That is the official list, and it is why a first sailing can feel cheaper than a line that charges a daily soda fee.
Alcohol is not unlimited and is not free in the base fare. Lattes, cappuccinos, and freshly pressed juices are extra too. Virgin Voyages uses a Bar Tab (prepaid credit, often with a bonus when you buy it before the sailing) instead of an unlimited drinks package. There is no “drink until you hit the daily cap” product. Read why there is no unlimited package, then size a tab with the Bar Tab calculator.
Are gratuities included after October 7, 2025?
On bookings made from October 7, 2025, daily service gratuities sit on their own line. Plan on about $20 per Sailor per night if you prepay, or about $22 per Sailor per night if it posts onboard. The published rate is the same from an Insider to a RockStar suite. Prepaid gratuities are locked and non-refundable per Virgin Voyages. If you pay onboard, you can review or modify the amount at Sailor Services before disembarkation.
Bookings made before October 7, 2025 may still have gratuities in the fare. Changing the sail date on a legacy booking can end that. Ask CamJon Travel before you touch one.
Once that daily gratuity is covered, no additional tipping is expected on drinks, dining, or spa. Virgin Voyages does not add the 18-20% bar or spa surcharge common on other lines. Do not treat that as “tips already included in the voyage fare” on a new VoyageFair booking. It is a separate nightly charge that then covers the crew.
Is Wi-Fi included on Virgin Voyages?
Yes, and it is not one unlimited tier for every Sailor. The fare maps to Basic, Classic, or Premium Wi-Fi. A Premium fare includes Premium Wi-Fi for two devices per Sailor. Mega RockStar includes Work from Sea for up to two devices per cabin. Those are different products. Do not rename Premium-fare Wi-Fi to Work from Sea. Device counts and speeds live on Virgin Voyages Wi-Fi plans and the fare hub.
What still costs extra?
- Alcohol and specialty drinks — Bar Tab, not an unlimited package.
- Shore Things — curated experiences ashore are extra. Do not assume a dollar amount; prices move by port and season.
- Spa and Thermal Suite — treatments and most Thermal access are extra. Some suites may include Thermal access. Do not treat a day-pass rumor as today’s rate.
- Retail — shops, merch, and souvenirs.
- Daily service gratuities on bookings from October 7, 2025.
Beach Club at Bimini amenities are included on sailings that call at Beach Club at Bimini (often Miami Caribbean itineraries). Confirm your sailing. It is not a promise on every Caribbean itinerary.
How should you budget a week?
Three line items. Do not invent a couple’s all-in total, and do not treat a Wave or Instant Savings headline as live unless CamJon Travel has priced that sailing.
- Voyage fare for the cabin and VoyageFair type you actually want (Essential is the usual starting point; Premium if dining-window and Wi-Fi matter).
- Daily gratuities times nights times Sailors (about $20 prepaid or about $22 onboard, from October 7, 2025).
- Bar Tab from the calculator if you drink, plus any Shore Things or spa you already know you want.
That is enough to compare Virgin Voyages to a drink-package line without pretending the fare is a sealed all-inclusive envelope. For whether the product is worth it at all, start with is Virgin Voyages worth it.
