Plan My Voyage

What Wi-Fi Does Virgin Voyages Include? (2026 by Fare)

Short answer: Under VoyageFair (bookings on/after Oct 7, 2025), included Wi-Fi follows the fare: Base/Lock It In = Basic; Essential = Classic; Premium fare = Premium Wi-Fi (2 devices per Sailor); RockStar = Classic; Mega RockStar = Work from Sea (2 devices per Sailor, not per cabin). Premium fare Wi-Fi is not Work from Sea. Confirm upgrades in Sailor Services / the app — CamJon Travel will not invent day-pass dollars.

How did VoyageFair change included Wi-Fi?

Every Sailor still gets Wi-Fi at sea. What changed is which plan is included. For bookings made on or after October 7, 2025, Virgin Voyages maps included Wi-Fi to the VoyageFair fare you booked—not a blanket Classic plan for every cabin. For bookings made on or before October 6, 2025, the older model still applied: Classic Wi-Fi for all Sailors, with paid upgrades available onboard.

That is why "is Wi-Fi included?" is the wrong first question. Ask which Wi-Fi does my fare include? Soft context on what is and is not "all-inclusive" on Virgin: is Virgin Voyages really all-inclusive. Fare definitions: Virgin Voyages fare types (Base, Essential, Premium).

Official Sailor Services guidance (re-checked September 14, 2026) does not advertise specific Mbps speeds. Connectivity at sea can vary with satellite, weather, and location—CamJon Travel will not invent speed numbers.

What Wi-Fi does each VoyageFair fare include?

Plain VoyageFair lock from official Sailor Services. Devices are per Sailor unless noted.

Naming lock. Premium fare Wi-Fi is Premium Wi-Fi. Mega RockStar Wi-Fi is Work from Sea. Do not rename sitewide booking-modal "Premium WiFi" chrome—that UI label is not a claim that Premium fare equals Work from Sea.

Is Premium fare Wi-Fi the same as Work from Sea?

No. Under VoyageFair, a Premium fare on a standard cabin includes Premium Wi-Fi (two devices per Sailor). Work from Sea is the included plan for Mega RockStar Quarters (two devices per Sailor). Optional paid upgrades to Premium or Work from Sea may be available in the Sailor App when geography, weather, and inventory allow—subject to Virgin's live availability rules.

What Premium Wi-Fi is for (qualitative, no invented Mbps): richer browsing, streaming, and video calls when the network supports them. What Work from Sea is for: the top productivity tier Virgin sells for heavier remote-work use (meetings / VPN-friendly packages when your selected plan permits VPN). CamJon Travel will not invent which corporate VPN "always works"—confirm onboard.

How many devices does Mega RockStar Work from Sea include?

Two devices per Sailor. That is the official Sailor Services VoyageFair line (fetched September 14, 2026). Older CamJon copy that used a cabin-wide device count was wrong and is corrected here.

RockStar Quarters (non-Mega) include Classic Wi-Fi (one device per Sailor), whether Lock It In or Non-Lock It In. Mega is the path that unlocks included Work from Sea.

Should I buy a Wi-Fi upgrade (Deep Blue Extras)?

Paid upgrades: Sailors can purchase Premium or Work from Sea Wi-Fi while onboard via the Virgin Voyages Sailor App when available. Packages may be limited by geography, weather, or government restrictions. CamJon Travel will not invent day-pass dollars or full-voyage Wi-Fi dollars. Confirm the live tariff in Sailor Services / the app before you buy.

Deep Blue Extras: Sailing Club Deep Blue Extras includes Unlimited Premium Wifi where available. That perk is not Work from Sea. Official Sailing Club terms (re-checked September 14, 2026) do not publish a device count CamJon Travel will harden on this page—confirm in the app / Sailor Services for your sailing.

Devices supported (official): phones, tablets, and laptops generally; streaming sticks, desktop PCs, and wired connections are not supported. There is no specific data-cap advertisement; Virgin may limit devices to protect network integrity. VPN clients may work on packages that permit them, but Virgin does not support VPN troubleshooting, and the Sailor App may not work while a VPN is active.
