Why CamJon Travel Updated Our Terms, Fees, and Service Standards

📅 May 3, 2026 Update — Clear expectations are not cold. They are one of the ways we protect the relationship-first service our sailors deserve.

Great service needs heart. It also needs structure.

Our updated terms, fees, and service standards are designed to make the CamJon Travel experience clearer, stronger, and more sustainable for every Virgin Voyages sailor we support.

Why did CamJon Travel update its terms, fees, and service standards?

CamJon Travel updated its terms, fees, and service standards on May 1, 2026 to create more clarity, protect service quality, define what is included, and support a more sustainable relationship-first planning experience for Virgin Voyages sailors. The goal is not to make travel planning feel colder. The goal is to make it feel clearer, safer, and better supported.

The Hardest Part of Growing Is Protecting What Made You Different

Growth sounds wonderful from the outside.

More sailors. More referrals. More returning clients. More people trusting CamJon Travel with honeymoons, birthdays, anniversaries, family memories, first cruises, second cruises, group trips, and those “we just need something to look forward to” kinds of vacations.

And it is wonderful.

But growth also comes with a responsibility.

The question is not only, “How do we help more people?”

The better question is, “How do we help more people without making the experience feel less personal?”

That question is at the center of our May 1, 2026 updates.

CamJon Travel did not update our terms, fees, and service standards because we wanted more fine print. We updated them because the work has grown, the support has deepened, the planning experience has expanded, and the structure needed to catch up with the level of care we were already providing.

Clear structure protects good service.

And good service is still the point.

✨ The heart of this update: We are not trying to become a transactional agency. We are building the structure required to stay relationship-first as more sailors trust us with more pieces of their travel experience.

Terms and Conditions Are Not the Opposite of Hospitality

Some people hear “terms and conditions” and immediately think of walls, restrictions, or cold corporate language.

That is not how we see them.

Good terms are not there to make the experience unfriendly.

Good terms are there to prevent confusion.

They explain what is included, what is not included, what deadlines matter, what suppliers control, where CamJon Travel can help, where Virgin Voyages policies apply, and what happens when plans change.

That matters because travel has details.

Lots of them.

Names must match documents. Final payment dates matter. Fare rules matter. Cancellation windows matter. Flight schedules change. Hotels sell out. Dining windows open at specific times. App steps get missed. Transfers need real arrival and departure information. Group travelers move at different speeds. And sometimes sailors assume something is included simply because no one ever explained otherwise.

That is where relationships can get strained.

Not because anyone did anything wrong.

Because expectations were not clear enough at the beginning.

Our updated terms are designed to reduce that friction before it starts.

What Clear Service Standards Actually Do

Service standards are not about making everything rigid.

They are about making excellence repeatable.

Anyone can give amazing service once in a while when the calendar is quiet, the inbox is calm, the request is simple, and nothing changes.

The real test is whether the service still holds when multiple sailors need help at once, a group has moving parts, a hotel option disappears, someone needs flight support, a dining window is approaching, a sailing is close, and new inquiries keep arriving.

That is when structure matters.

Our updated service standards help define how CamJon Travel supports sailors before booking, after booking, and as the sailing approaches. They help protect response quality, planning time, research scope, revision rounds, and the overall rhythm of the client experience.

In plain English: they help us keep promises without pretending time is unlimited.

✨ A service truth: unlimited access is not the same thing as excellent service. Without structure, unlimited access eventually becomes slower responses, scattered details, and a worse experience for everyone.

What Is Still Included for CamJon Travel Sailors

One of the most important things to understand is that CamJon Travel still includes a strong level of planning support for sailors who book their Virgin Voyages cruise through us.

This is not a move toward charging for every little question.

That is not our style, and it is not the experience we want to create.

Under our May 1, 2026 fee schedule, CamJon Travel’s included planning support covers a reasonable scope of work based on clear instructions, a realistic budget, and timely decision-making by the sailor.

Standard sailors receive included pre-cruise planning support for cruise selection, cabin guidance, fare and itinerary consultation, and related pre-booking communication.

Beyond Platinum Members, RockStar Suite sailors, and group organizers for qualifying group or Circle bookings receive expanded pre-cruise planning support.

That structure lets us recognize that different bookings require different levels of support.

Complimentary Voyage-Connected Planning

For sailors who book a Virgin Voyages cruise through CamJon Travel, several voyage-connected services are complimentary within the included scope.

Hotel Coordination

Support from CamJon Travel’s curated hotel lists for cruise-connected stays in the departure or arrival port city.

Transfers

Pre- and post-cruise transfer arrangements for airport, hotel, and port logistics connected to the sailing.

Excursion Guidance

Pre- or post-cruise excursion recommendations and booking support when connected to the Virgin Voyages trip.

Dining Support

Eligible best-effort dining support, including the Midnight Dining Reservation Service when requirements are met.

Pre-Departure Playbook

A personalized pre-sailing resource designed to help sailors feel prepared before they board.

Planning Guidance

Help understanding the decisions that shape the voyage, from cabin strategy to fare fit and pre-cruise logistics.

That is a meaningful amount of support.

It is also why clear scope matters.

Complimentary does not mean unlimited. It means included within a reasonable, clearly defined planning relationship.

Why Flight Planning Has a Separate Fee

Flight planning is one of the most time-intensive parts of travel support.

It is also one of the most misunderstood.

A good flight recommendation is not just “find the cheapest flight.” It may involve timing, connection risk, airline reliability, baggage rules, layover comfort, arrival strategy, return flight buffer, airport choice, seat class, schedule changes, and what happens if something goes sideways before a cruise.

Airfare and availability can change multiple times per day.

That means every round of flight options requires real-time research.

Under the May 1, 2026 fee schedule, CamJon Travel charges a flat $50 per-passenger Flight Planning Fee for standard flight bookings. That fee is waived for international premium economy or higher, Beyond Platinum Members, and RockStar Suite bookings.

This keeps the service simple, transparent, and tied to the work required.

No mystery. No awkwardness. No buried surprise.

Why Cancellation Fees Exist

Cancellations are part of travel.

Life happens. Plans change. Budgets shift. Jobs move. Families need different things. Sometimes a sailing that made sense six months ago no longer makes sense today.

We understand that.

But cancellation also creates real work.

By the time a sailor cancels, CamJon Travel may have already provided cruise selection support, cabin guidance, fare consultation, hotel research, dining planning, excursion recommendations, transfer guidance, communication, documentation, and administrative support connected to the booking.

That work does not disappear because the trip does.

Under the May 1, 2026 fee schedule, sailor-initiated cancellations made 120 or more calendar days before sailing carry a $200 per-cabin CamJon Travel Cancellation Fee. Beyond Platinum Members receive a reduced cancellation fee of $100 per cabin.

Cancellations made within 120 days of sailing are governed by Virgin Voyages’ published cancellation penalty schedule and do not trigger a separate CamJon Travel cancellation fee.

The purpose is not punishment.

The purpose is fairness.

It acknowledges the work already performed while still allowing us to make common-sense exceptions when appropriate under our published terms.

Why Revision Rounds Are Defined

Revisions are normal.

A sailor might ask for a different hotel style. A flight time might not feel right. A transfer option might need adjusting. An excursion idea might not match the vibe after all.

That is completely reasonable.

But unlimited revisions can quietly become one of the biggest threats to service quality.

When one request turns into five rounds of new research, that time has to come from somewhere. If there is no structure, it comes from other sailors, slower response times, or the quality of the work itself.

That is why our updated fee schedule defines included revision rounds by service area.

Standard sailors receive two included rounds per service area. Qualifying group or Circle bookings receive three included rounds per service area. Beyond Platinum Members and RockStar Suite sailors receive three included rounds per service area with additional revision flexibility under the published fee schedule.

If a sailor needs additional revision work beyond the included rounds, the Excess Revision Fee is disclosed first and written approval is obtained before additional work begins.

That last part matters.

No one should be surprised by a fee after the fact.

✨ This is the standard: if additional revision fees apply, CamJon Travel discloses them before the extra work begins. Transparency should happen before the invoice, not after it.

How Beyond Platinum Fits Into the Fee Schedule

Beyond Platinum is part of the larger CJ Travel Connect ecosystem.

It is a CamJon Travel service designation earned through CJ Travel Connect community engagement. It is not a Virgin Voyages status level. It is not granted, endorsed, or authorized by Virgin Voyages. It is not earned through or conditioned on booking a Virgin Voyages cruise.

Beyond Platinum recognizes engagement with the CamJon Travel community, not simply spending.

Under the May 1, 2026 fee schedule, Beyond Platinum Members receive enhanced CamJon Travel service benefits. These may include expanded pre-cruise planning support, priority response and scheduling, waived flight planning fees, a reduced cancellation fee, additional revision flexibility, a discount on accepted separate travel planning engagements, priority access to certain community events or group trip announcements, and an annual voyage planning check-in.

These benefits apply to CamJon Travel’s own service fees and service standards. They do not remove supplier costs, hotel rates, airfares, excursion costs, Virgin Voyages penalties, or other charges controlled by outside suppliers.

Important clarification: Beyond Platinum is a CamJon Travel designation connected to CJ Travel Connect. It is not a Virgin Voyages designation, and it is not tied to the booking, purchase, or sale of a Virgin Voyages product.

How RockStar Suite Support Fits Into the Structure

RockStar Suite bookings often require elevated support.

That is not because every RockStar sailor is complicated. It is because elevated bookings tend to carry elevated expectations, larger investment, more detailed questions, and more moving parts.

Under the May 1, 2026 fee schedule, sailors booking RockStar Suites, Mega RockStar Suites, or successor RockStar Suite categories receive CamJon Travel’s premium service tier for that booking.

That may include additional pre-cruise planning support, priority response and scheduling, waived flight planning fees, additional revision flexibility, a discount on accepted separate travel planning engagements, and complimentary pre-departure playbook support.

The reason is simple.

Premium bookings deserve premium handling.

Why Groups Need Clearer Standards

Group and Circle bookings are some of the most rewarding trips we support.

They are also some of the most complex.

A group is not just a collection of cabins. It is a collection of timelines, budgets, communication styles, travel preferences, dining needs, hotel needs, transfer needs, and personalities.

That is why our updated standards give qualifying group organizers expanded pre-cruise planning support and additional included revision flexibility.

Clear standards make group planning smoother.

They help the organizer understand what is included. They help the sailors understand where to go. They help CamJon Travel manage expectations before confusion starts.

That is better for everyone.

What This Means for Existing Sailors

If you had an existing CamJon Travel booking before May 1, 2026, your booking may retain applicable grandfathered terms or fee exemptions that were in effect when that booking was made.

New bookings created on or after May 1, 2026 are governed by the current CamJon Travel terms and fee schedule.

This distinction is important because it protects both sides.

It honors the expectations attached to existing bookings while giving new bookings a clear and current service framework from the beginning.

What This Means for Future Sailors

If you are new to CamJon Travel, the updated terms and fees should give you confidence.

They tell you what kind of agency you are working with.

We are not trying to be a mystery box. We are not trying to surprise you later. We are not trying to blur the line between what CamJon Travel controls and what Virgin Voyages or another supplier controls.

We want you to understand the relationship before you step into it.

That is a good thing.

If you want an advisor who simply books whatever you ask for with no questions, we may not be the right fit.

If you want a First Mate who asks better questions, explains the details, protects your vacation from preventable mistakes, and works within a clear service structure, you are probably in the right place.

Clear Does Not Mean Cold

This is the piece I care about most.

There is a fear that when a small business adds terms, fees, or standards, it loses some of its warmth.

That can happen if the structure replaces the relationship.

But that is not what we are doing.

At CamJon Travel, structure exists to protect the relationship.

Clear terms mean fewer assumptions.

Clear fees mean fewer surprises.

Clear service standards mean better follow-through.

Clear scope means better planning.

Clear expectations mean the relationship has less friction and more trust.

That is not cold.

That is care with a backbone.

✨ A CamJon belief: warmth and professionalism are not opposites. The best service has both.

The Standard Is the Standard

CamJon Travel is still built around relationships.

We still believe fit matters more than a fast quote.

We still believe details matter because people matter.

We still believe Virgin Voyages planning deserves expertise, not guesswork.

We still believe a sailor should feel seen before they feel sold to.

Our updated terms, fees, and service standards do not change that.

They protect it.

Because the standard is not just how we treat one sailor on one easy day.

The standard is how we care for every sailor as the agency grows, the work deepens, and the travel experience becomes more complete.

That is why this update matters.

More clarity.

Better structure.

Same CamJon heart.
