Circles was Virgin Voyages’ advisor-managed, early-stage group tool. Its superpower was flexibility: your First Mate could start a Circle with no cabin minimum and no deposits, holding space and locking the going rate while you gathered your crew. It was the answer to the classic group-trip problem — half your friends are “definitely in” and the other half are “let me check with work.”
Meanwhile, the traditional Groups side handled committed crews of 8+ cabins with tangible perks. Two paths, two rulebooks, and one recurring question: “Wait, which one do we want?”
What Changed: One Program Now Does It All
Virgin Voyages expanded its Groups Program (June 2026) and folded Circles flexibility into it. There is no separate early-interest path anymore — and that’s an upgrade, because you no longer trade flexibility for perks. The current program gives you both:
- Zero-deposit holds: We block 8 or more cabins without anyone putting money down
- Price and promotion lock: The fare and promotion in effect the day your group is created are locked for blocked cabins
- Everyone books on their own timeline: Each Sailor pays for their own cabin when they’re ready
- Group Bar Tab: A per-cabin Bar Tab based on voyage length, up to $200 per cabin
- Group Dining Concierge: Help locking in advance dinner reservations — up to 3 group dinner reservations across signature restaurants (by voyage length), not “3 per cabin” — so the group eats together without app roulette
- Combinable with My Next Virgin Voyage: MNVV certificates can stack with the group offer on eligible bookings
- Possible additional group savings: Select sailings may include extra savings — we confirm what’s live for your dates
