Virgin Voyages Group Cruises: Your Complete 2026 Guide to the Groups Program

Short answer: A Virgin Voyages group starts at 8 cabins. You can hold space with zero deposit (through 75 cabins), lock fare and promo at creation, and every eligible cabin gets Group Bar Tab$50 on sailings of 5 nights or less, $100 for 6–9 nights, $200 for 10+ — plus Dining Concierge help. Wi‑Fi still follows the fare each Sailor books (not a blanket “WiFi included” promise). CamJon Travel runs the hold so you celebrate instead of chasing the group chat.

This guide reflects the Groups Program Virgin Voyages launched June 3, 2026 — sizes, holds, Group Bar Tab, dining support, gifts/add-ons, and wedding tiers. Virgin sets and can change terms; CamJon Travel confirms live details for your sailing before you commit.

What is a Virgin Voyages group cruise?

A group is a set of cabins sailing together on the same voyage under the Groups Program so the crew shares extra perks. It starts at 8 cabins. Each cabin keeps its own booking — friends are not pooling one giant credit card.

Virgin Voyages is adults-only (18+), with standalone restaurants instead of a main dining room, and a stylish social vibe across Scarlet, Valiant, Resilient, and Brilliant Lady. That personality is why groups love it — and why the first question is whether Virgin fits your people, not which cabin category to grab.

How the Groups Program works

Three ideas: hold with no deposit, lock pricing early, let each Sailor pay when ready.

Group sizes: small, large, and contracted

Contracted (76+) details are trade practice beyond the public press maximum of 75 — we confirm terms if your group grows that large.

Holding cabins with zero deposit

For 8–75 cabins, CamJon Travel can block space without money down (subject to availability and Virgin’s hold clocks). Each Sailor books and pays their own cabin on their own timeline.

Locking fare and promotion

Fare and promo lock at group creation — protecting the group from the “we waited six months and prices moved” problem.

What perks does every group Sailor get?

The Group Bar Tab

Every eligible cabin gets per-cabin Group Bar Tab by voyage length (official June 2026 ladder):

Voyage lengthGroup Bar Tab per cabin
5 nights or less (includes 3-night sailings)$50
6–9 nights$100
10+ nights$200

Bar Tab covers eligible premium drinks (including specialty coffee and many premium NA options). It does not cover spa or shore excursions. It can be used at Beach Club at Bimini when that port is on the voyage.

Group Dining Concierge

Help locking dinner reservations ahead of time — officially up to three group dinner reservations across signature restaurants, based on voyage length and availability.

Always-included luxury (with a Wi‑Fi caveat)

Every fare still includes specialty dining (no cover charges), soda and still/sparkling water, group fitness, and entertainment. Wi‑Fi is fare-tier under VoyageFair — Base and Lock It In often include Basic; Essential typically Classic; Premium typically Premium; Mega RockStar includes Work from Sea. Do not read “group cruise” as “everyone automatically gets Classic Wi‑Fi.”

My Next Virgin Voyage

MNVV can combine with the group offer on eligible bookings. Other promos follow their own combinability rules — we confirm what stacks.

Possible group savings

Select sailings may add group savings on voyage fare (Virgin has marketed up to 15% off on select sailings). Not every sailing qualifies.

Comp cabin / commission choice

Standing program: earn 1 free cabin per 16 sold or a 2% bonus commission path — advisor election. The launch 1:12 deal through June 30, 2026 is expired; we use the standing 1:16 rule.

Group gifts and add-ons

Layer celebration moments on top of Group Bar Tab. Official add-on T&Cs (verify live before you buy) include examples such as:

  • Chocolate Courier — from $20
  • Blooms with a View — from $60
  • Beer buckets — from $35 (brand/price varies; e.g. Corona listed higher on some T&Cs)
  • Pre-Book Your Bubbles — confirm current Champagne pricing (Moët 750ml has appeared at $125 on official add-on T&Cs; older “from $105” figures are stale)

Spa escapes, cocktail parties, entertainment hours, private events, and restaurant buyouts exist as planning options — we confirm live quotes rather than publishing unverified starting prices here.

Best occasions for a Virgin Voyages group cruise

  • Milestone birthdays
  • Bachelor / bachelorette weeks
  • Friend reunions and clubs
  • Incentive and team trips
  • Weddings, vow renewals, and elopements — where wedding guests get a vacation, not just a single event

Weddings and celebrations at sea

Virgin markets three package tier names: You, Me and The Sea; Soulmates Set Sail; Wedding on the Waves. Guest-count bands and inclusions differ by tier. Live consumer pages confirm names and bands; published dollar starting points in trade write-ups (often cited around $4,000 / $5,000 / $8,000) should be confirmed live before anyone budgets hard numbers — we soft-verify, we don’t invent.

Ceremonies are typically symbolic (not a substitute for a legal marriage where you need one on land). Dining Concierge support still helps the sailing wedding party lock tables.

What happened to Travel Circles?

Circles folded into the unified Groups Program on June 3, 2026. New holds use Groups vocabulary and the $50 / $100 / $200 Bar Tab ladder — not legacy Circles vs Groups comparisons.
