A few good things
to look forward to.

Ahoy, Sailor!

Alaska 2028 has an opening date, Bimini has a new menu rolling out, and a few practical planning decisions deserve more than a quick guess.

This month, I’ve rounded up the news and guides I’d want you to have before choosing your next voyage. There’s also something new for our Sailors with an upcoming trip: watch your email for your invitation to the evolved CJ Travel Connect.

Let’s start with Alaska.

Alaska 2028 opens November 12.
Want a heads-up?

Virgin Voyages’ Alaska 2028 sailings open for general booking on November 12, 2026. We have a dedicated alert list so you can hear from CamJon Travel when booking opens.

Sign up now, then use our itinerary guide to narrow down the version of Alaska you want. Compare the glacier, ports, voyage length and where your trip begins and ends. Those details can matter more than simply picking a date.

The alert is a reminder when general booking opens. It does not reserve a cabin, guarantee a fare or provide early access.

Fresh from the blog.

From choosing a cabin to planning a beach day, these recent guides help you turn a good idea into a trip that fits. Pick what’s on your mind, or browse below.

What are you planning?

Start with the glacier and ports you want, then compare the route and travel dates.

XL Sea Terrace: know what gets bigger.

A larger bathroom may be exactly what you want. But XL doesn’t promise a larger balcony or a midship location. Our guide walks through the layout and privacy questions before you choose.

One voyage. Two cities. A complete plan.

A one-way cruise can connect two places you’d love to explore. Compare both flights, hotels and transfers before deciding the cruise fare tells the whole story.

Plan both ends of the trip →

A little more flavor in your Bimini day.

The new Beach Club menu has a ship-by-ship rollout. Check your ship’s announced date, then confirm the menu and lunch hours for your own visit.

Alaska, one-way travel and Bimini covers are editorial illustrations. The XL cover uses a Virgin Voyages cabin photograph; layouts vary. Article dates and announced schedules are not promises of availability.

Two more to keep handy

Dinner before Scarlet Night: our September timing advice now has its own guide.

Who should you invite on a group cruise? Start with expectations, shared moments and room for everyone’s own vacation.

Cameron’s tip of the month

Your ideal cabin may not
wait for Black Friday.

Virgin’s Black Friday offers are on our radar, but we don’t have the details yet. Here’s the question I’d ask before waiting: how disappointed would you be if the cabin you really wanted sold out?

A favorite deck, a particular suite, cabins near friends, or a layout that works for your party can be harder to replace than a promotion. The cabin you’d choose first may be someone else’s first choice, too.

A better offer can be reviewed.
A sold-out cabin can’t be promised back.

If the sailing, cabin and current total fit your plans and budget, I wouldn’t let an unknown future sale make the whole decision. If a better offer appears after you book, we can check whether your booking qualifies for an adjustment and whether making a change improves the overall value.

An adjustment is not automatic or guaranteed. The fare rules, timing, availability and promotion terms all matter. We compare the total cost and the benefits you would keep or give up before recommending a change.

Know your
must-haves.

Tell us which details make the trip work: the sailing date, cabin layout, deck, location, or being near your travel companions. If those are important, choose around them while the right option is available.

A category showing for sale does not mean every cabin number, location or sleeping arrangement is available.

Compare the
whole offer.

A bigger discount headline doesn’t tell the whole story. We look at the fare, taxes and fees, prepaid gratuities, any applicable Bar Tab or Sailor Loot, and the conditions attached to the offer.

Giving up useful benefits or a cabin that fits you can wipe out the value of a lower advertised fare. Ask us to compare before changing or cancelling an existing booking.

Flexible?
Waiting may fit.

If you’re flexible about dates, ships and cabin locations, waiting can be a reasonable choice. Be comfortable with the possibility that today’s options may disappear. It’s a tradeoff, not a promise that Black Friday will cost less.

My advice: choose a trip you’d be happy taking at today’s total. Treat any eligible later improvement as a bonus, rather than something the booking needs in order to make sense.

Let’s weigh the cabin and the price together →

Meet your new home
for smoother sailing.

We’re excited to introduce the evolved CJ Travel Connect, bringing your trip details, next steps, helpful resources and requests to Cameron and Nessy together in one place. It’s a new way to stay connected before you sail, and we’re just getting started.

A look inside the CJ Travel Connect home dashboard

Your invitation is on its way.

Have an upcoming sailing with CamJon Travel? We’re sending invitations in small batches over the next 7–14 days to help ensure everything sails smoothly.

Check spam or junk, too, plus your Promotions tab if you use Gmail. The invitation comes from cjtconnect.com, rather than our usual camjontravel.com address.

Booked with CamJon Travel or holding a My Next Virgin Voyage certificate with us? You don’t have to wait. Log in now using the email address associated with your booking or certificate. Access is currently for booked CamJon Travel Sailors and CamJon Travel My Next Virgin Voyage certificate holders.

Your Trip File.
Less searching.

Your route, cabin, flights and hotels belong together. The Trip File brings those details into one place, while Home helps you see what’s next for your trip.

Start by checking your sailing and the details we’ve added. A missing flight or a cabin detail that looks wrong is something to flag, not a reason to wonder which email to search next.

Your questions.
Our team.

CJ Concierge is the place to send your questions and requests. Dining, hotels, flights, transfers, or something you’re unsure about: put it there so Nessy, our Sailor Experience Manager, and I can both see it.

The point is personal help with the context of your trip. You’re still working with real people who know what you’re planning.

More to enjoy
before you board.

Explore Sailor Academy courses, earn points as you learn, and visit the Sailor’s Lounge to share tips with other Sailors. Points can build up in Rewards; they do not reduce the cruise fare.

Traveling with one of our groups? Your group can have its own private page for plans and conversation, too.

More on the horizon.

By the end of Q1 2027, we plan to introduce:

  • Text alerts for Sailors who prefer texts over email.
  • Apps for iPhone and Android to keep your trip close at hand.
  • More improvements as CJ Travel Connect continues to grow.

These additions are coming later; the invitation rollout over the next 7–14 days gives booked CamJon Travel Sailors and My Next Virgin Voyage certificate holders with us access to the current platform.

One important first step: check your trip.

We’re still adding parts of bookings, including cabin numbers, flights and payment details. Something may be missing or not quite right yet. Your Virgin Voyages booking is always the official record. Tell us in CJ Concierge if anything looks off.

Deadlines and reply times in CJ Travel Connect use US Eastern Time. Port and onboard times use ship-local time; flights use each airport’s local time. Read the time zone alongside the time.

Your first steps in Connect

Your first steps in Connect.

Booked CamJon Travel Sailors and My Next Virgin Voyage certificate holders with us can sign in now using the email associated with their booking or certificate, or follow the invitation when it arrives. Then take a few minutes to look around.

  1. Use the email on your booking.
Sign in with that address and the 6-digit code emailed to you. No password to remember. If we sent you a personal setup invitation, start with that invitation.
  2. Open your Trip File.
Check the ship, sailing dates, cabin and travel arrangements shown. Keep your Virgin Voyages confirmation handy while you review.
  3. Look at what’s next.
Review the next steps for your own trip, including any dining-planning instructions and dates that apply to you.
  4. Send your first question through CJ Concierge.
Let us know what you need help with, or what needs correcting. That gives Cameron and Nessy one place to work from.
Already using CJ Travel Connect?

You can sign in now with your booking email, or follow the invitation when it arrives. Don’t create a duplicate account just because the platform has changed.

What if I can’t get in?

Check that you’re using the email attached to your booking and look for your setup invitation or sign-in code. If you’re still stuck, email cameron@camjontravel.com so we can help you find the right account.

Can CJ Travel Connect book my dining automatically?

Use the dining instructions and deadlines shown for your own sailing. Where our team is helping with reservations, it is a best effort, with no promised table or time. Keep the Virgin Voyages app for official reservations, check-in and onboard information.

When should I expect a reply?

Nessy is here Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM Eastern. We reply within two business days, usually sooner. While traveling, follow the contact instructions provided for your trip. For something happening onboard, Virgin Voyages’ team is your first stop.

I haven’t booked with CamJon Travel. Is this for me?

CJ Travel Connect is our private planning platform for booked CamJon Travel Sailors and My Next Virgin Voyage certificate holders with us. You’re welcome to start a planning conversation about whether Virgin and CamJon Travel are a fit. Reading this newsletter alone doesn’t create an account.
