What is the Thermal Suite on Virgin Voyages?
Redemption Spa is Virgin Voyages' onboard spa (Deck 5 on the Lady ships). Inside it, the Thermal Suite is the heat-and-water circuit, mud room, salt room, sauna, steam room, hot and cold plunge pools, and heated marble hammam benches, built for a self-paced "Redemption Journey," not a single massage table.
Official Virgin Voyages fitness-spa copy lists those rooms and plunges as the Thermal Suite amenities. Quartz-bed and other treatments live in the same spa complex but are a different product: you book a service with a therapist. Fitness classes, the gym, and open-deck pools are separate from Redemption; group fitness sits in the voyage fare, while Thermal access and spa treatments are not "always included" for every Sailor.
Is the Thermal Suite included?

Pass vs treatment, what's the difference?
A Thermal Suite pass buys time in the shared suite circuit (rooms, plunges, hammam benches). A treatment is a paid service (massage, facial, acupuncture, salon, medi-spa, etc.) with a practitioner. One does not automatically equal the other: you can use the suite on a pass without a massage, and a treatment is its own line item.
Virgin's own fitness-and-spa FAQ separates "Thermal Suite Day Passes" from "a varied list of treatments." Timed sessions and cleaning breaks between slots may apply onboard, confirm session length and availability in the app or at Redemption reception rather than guessing from a blog. Confirm what's bundled (if anything) with a specific service at the spa desk, do not assume every treatment includes the suite.
Who should buy a pass (and who should not double-buy)?

How to book Thermal and treatments
Once onboard, reservations for the Thermal Suite and for treatments can be made on the Virgin Voyages app or in person at Redemption Spa reception (Deck 5). Virgin's FAQ lists Redemption hours at about 6:00 AM–10:00 PM most days, always confirm in the app for your sailing.
- Treatments: cancel at least 24 hours before the appointment (official FAQ).
